My Journey to a Healthy Me, Days 131-134

Oh man, then mental fight is real! I have been doing ok still, just when I hurt my ankle this week, it all seemed to come crashing down.

Weight Loss

So technically I lost weight this last week. I am now 311.2 lbs. 3.6 lbs this last week, and 56.5 lbs total since January 1st. The problem is, I didn’t loose weight all week. It wasn’t until today that that weight came off.

Seeing no weight loss all week, didn’t help the bad mental place I was in either. I’m not sure what is going on exactly.

One thought, is that I have been eating at such a Calorie deficient, that my body switched over into starvation mode and tried to save all the things, plus the extra water I may be drinking. Last night, I actually got up to 2,000 calories, and this morning I lost 3 pounds.

Maybe due to my exercising, then this last week dropping the exercise because of my ankle. I may need to re evaluate how much of a food deficit I eat at. I figured I would been still losing lots of weight at this point.

Food wise, I was fine this week. Finally, finished off my cheesecake this week. I had a few higher days of net carbs. Higher calorie days a few in the beginning of the week, but I was busting my butt then with running and walking.

05/12 – 12:00 am to 8:01 am, 7 hrs 10 mins, 17 x awake for 51 mins
05/13 – 2:00 am to 8:02 am, 5 hrs 35 mins, 11 x awake for 27 mins
05/14 – 12:27 am to 9:07 am, 7 hrs 40 mins, 18 x awake for 1 hr

So I was late a couple of nights to get to bed. I did read each night, except on 5/11. On 5/13 is when I decided to finish off the Expanse book. Now that I have that reading done, I need to find another book ASAP. Until then though, I am reading a book titled “Level Up Your Life” by Steve Kamb. He is the creator of Nerd Fitness. I have had the book for a long time, but just never got to reading it. I think it will only take me a couple of nights here to finish up. So time to shop for other reads.

Exercise

05/07 – 10,421 steps, 99 active minutes
05/08 – 9,219 steps, 119 active minutes

Only 2 active days. The rest I decided not to do to heal my ankle. I probably could have gone out and walked some, but I didn’t. I did do some work around the house that needed to get done, but not a real substitute.

This week

This week, I will probably not get out walking or running again. I tested a little today, and got a little pain feedback while I was picking up my kid from school. Bowling it seemed OK, but I am not constantly moving there. I did get into a project at home that I have been procrastinating about forever. I finally moved things around in my computer area. It is still a huge mess, so this week, I am focusing on getting it done. I need to down size a lot of old equipment. Who knows if and when we will need to move.
