It is a new week. This last week I struggled.
We continue the fight though. Each week, each day is a fresh start. I’m still remaining mostly positive. I am just ready for things to start falling in place. I am hoping next week is good news in the job front for my wife.
Now on to the recap. 🙂
Today, I was 306.1 lbs. 5.1 lbs lost this week. This brings me to 61.5 lbs total since January 1st. I’ve also noticed differences. At least in my profile. Some a bit in my face. I had bought new jeans, and those are starting to get more loose.
I even had a guy come up to me from our Match Club bowling. He asked if I had been losing quite a bit, because I looked like I have.
So very positive points. Good wins for me to focus on. 🙂

As you can see, I upped my calorie intake up. I was hitting the plateau of weight loss again. I didn’t understand why. How could I not lose weight, and I know I was hitting under what I need. Some from stress yes, but I should still be losing. Apparently, if you eat at too big of a deficit, then your body will react in bad ways. Like holding on to all the weight. So, I checked my macros and saw I was eating at a 40-45% deficit each day. I made it even worse when I was doing exercise like running and walking, but didn’t really eat more. After I checked the macros, I started increasing my calorie intake. Getting as close as I could to my numbers. Now I am still aiming for a 30% deficit. So far, it is working. It was like the next day and I started losing weight again. It is so weird to think you have to eat more to lose more. haha 🙂
Really, I have stopped all exercise. Whenever I “test” myself, the ankle hurts enough to make me stop. So really, I am stopping it for now. I don’t know when I will get back to walking and running. For the moment though, I will be working hard to get my house cleaned up and ready for out move.
I started off the week, mostly fine. With news of having to get out of our house, I freaked out more. I hadn’t read each night, only a couple of nights. My bedtime has varied as well.
One thing I have noticed for sure, is just how much a good sleep is. Staying up late, then getting up early is not cool. So much harder to do things when you are so tired. Then that just feed right into the mental problems.
I’ve got some reading material in now, so I will try to get back on track with my sleeping. I have started sleeping in a new position as well, and it seems to be better for me so far. I am getting sounder sleep, without having to move because I was sleeping over my arm or whatever.
This week is hoping for my wife to get a job offer. (more phone interviews tomorrow) Plus we will be checking out some apartments. Hopefully, we can get that nailed down soon as well.
June is super packed. I am bowling state tournament that last weekend. We have family coming up for my son’s graduation party. Plus, we probably need to get moved before all this in the middle of the month.
