My Journey to a Healthy Me, Day 203

A more relaxing day today. I got more items ordered to help out finishing my to do list around the house. I also made some fat bombs today. I hope tomorrow I can make a few more things to eat over the week.

I got my fitbit scale to connect back to my account last night. It took like 10 tried in a row to finally do it. I names it POS, because that is exactly what it was being. I have been trying to get this to work since we first moved in. This morning, it once again would not connect. Searching Google showed that many people have been having issues with Comcast/Xfinity routers, and the Aria. So oh well, I guess I just use it like a normal scale, and have to enter the numbers in manually to my fitbit account. I wonder if the Aria 2 has these issues too?

Food:
07/21 MyFitnessPal
 – 1758 Calories, 11 net carbs (9 net carbs minus the erythritol). Fasting done in my normal hours. Had some of my favorite Louisiana Rub Wings from Wingstop. 🙂 They are a little high in calories, but really good. I could eat so many of them. 

Sleep:

12:11 am to 8:10 am. 6 hrs 58 mins. 16 x awake for 1 hr 1 min. It was warm last night, and I woke up a few times. Though today I seemed to sleep in a bit longer at least. I ordered window tint to help darken the window. I am hoping this will help with my sleep as well.

Tomorrow

Costco run will be happening. Just a couple of items though. I should start getting in more stuff this week to get more done around here as well. It is also the beginning of the week, so I will be posting up a recap.

My Journey to a Healthy Me, Day 202

Today was much less rage inducing!

We went out today, to pick up a few grocery items. I’ve been in love with some Italian sausage. No carbs and tastes great helps a lot. Today at FoodMaxx, they were on sale. They only had 3 packs (6 links per pack), and I bought them all. I also got more ingredients to make more chicken crust pizza when I want.

I also got out and did a couple of Pokemon Go raids with my wife. I

We didn’t get much more in to move in wise. More of that tomorrow.

Monday, I need to get in a trip to Costco. Meatballs and lettuce are calling my name!

Yesterday

Food:
07/20 MyFitnessPal
 – 1614 Calories, 17 net carbs (16 net carbs minus the erythritol). Also got all my eating done within my eating window. Ended up making a pretty tasty chicken crusted pizza. Just simple pepperoni and black olives, but it seemed to be what I needed. I bought some sausage to add on there next time.

Sleep:

12:30 am to 7:00 am. 5 hrs 53 mins. 12 x awake for 37 mins. Got to bed a little later. I was very close to finishing off the “For We Are Many” (Bobiverse book 2). So I will be onto book 3 tonight. I was only about 4 to 5 minutes later from reading, but then I had to get my son back to bed. I was in bed by 12:20 ish.

Tomorrow

Plenty of things to get done tomorrow. It seems like it is taking forever for use to get all moved in. Though, we aren’t exactly spending 8 hours a day working on it either.

My Journey to a Healthy Me, Day 201

A couple of days ago I mentioned the mental game. Well, it seems today I have been on the very angry side of all this.

Today, it just seemed item after item was so very much making me want to rage. Everything seemed to go wrong. Looking for items when cooking, and it taking so long to just find it, or find out it is gone. Just so so mad. Very quick bursts of anger. I had to tell myself to calm down more then a few times haha.

I did make myself some chicken crust pizza, and it was good. had to tweak the crust a bit because of missing items. I added some black olives this time too. Another postive note, I did get out and get in two Pokemon raids. SO it wasn’t all bad today. 😉

Weight loss wise, I am back to dropping. Down even more today. Which is very good.

I put in a support ticket with fitbit today, because I haven’t been able to get my fitbit aria scale to connected to the wireless, since we moved.

Yesterday

Food:
07/19 MyFitnessPal – 1642 Calories, 16 net carbs (13 net carbs minus the erythritol) I did get my eating done in my window. Overall numbers wise it was fine, but I was hungry later on. It felt like I didn’t eat enough real food. One burger for lunch was really it. It was pork rinds/cracklin’s for dinner.

Sleep:

12:18 am to 7:30 am. 6 hrs 33 mins. 11 x awake for 39 mins. I felt like I did have a decent sleep, just felt those wake ups, and felt like I woke up too early.

Tomorrow

With rage issues today, I didn’t get all I wanted done in the kitchen. So I think we are hitting up the stores for items, then I will work on getting some food prep done.

 

My Journey to a Healthy Me, Day 200

Day 200 was quite the day.

We got everything ready this morning for the pest treatment. Then sat around waiting for the guys to get here.

Eventually, they did. We headed out to get lunch at In n Out. I only had a Double Double protein style with no onion. Protein style is their lettuce wrap. I enjoyed it, and only wished I had ordered another. 🙂

After lunch we headed off to Alviso, Ca, for a Pokemon Go Ex Raid.

We tried to kill some time there, but eventually headed back home. It was around 2:15 pm. The maintenance guys would be here around 3 to get the wall sockets back in place.

I tried getting the place all set back home before my wife headed home. I had to finish quick so I could get ready for bowling.

Bowling did no go so well. I did not sleep well last night. Then with all that went on today, I think I was just not on my game.

We all did survive though. Time to get back to moving in and unpacking everything.

Yesterday

07/18 MyFitnessPal – 1954 Calories, 19 net carbs (13 if you subtract the Erythritol) I did eat in my 11-6 eating window. 

Sleep:
Well, I forgot to wear my watch to bed again. I had it charging, then was talking to my older son about all the things we had to do today. Then went to bed. I figured I would just not bother getting back out of bed to get it. Of course, I slept horribly. Woke up more then a few times, and getting settled was a problem. Brain would wake up to think more, and it was too warm for my liking. I hope tonight is a good sleep. I did get to bed on time, I also got my reading in. I am enjoying the Bobiverse books. 

Tomorrow

I think Friday calls for pizza day. I also want to get some chicken made to have for next week. I’ve also have plenty of things to still unpack.

My Journey to a Healthy Me, Day 199

Oh man, 199 days into the year. Almost to the magical day 200. I wonder what the percentage is of people still following their New Years Resolutions. Hey, if you are not right now, you can start back up. Like Christmas in July, maybe we need New Year’s Resolution in July. haha 🙂

I got in more work around the house today. Shelves are all hung now. so progress there is happening.

Looks like my weight is still dropping so far this week. I am going to have to really get some pre-cooking done one of these days though. I am running out of my convenience foods.

Tomorrow is our day for pest treatment tomorrow. The maintenance guys will be here at 9 am to take off the electrical plates on the walls. So we don’t have to move around everything, just make sure everything is unplugged, and they have plenty of access to the panels. It will still be a pain, but that is better. The other guys will be here at 10:30 am to start work. They should be done by 2:30, or maybe that is when we can come back? I’m going to ask them tomorrow morning since they want me here when they should up.

Plan is to grab some In n Out to eat for lunch, and my kid and I have a Pokemon Go raid to go do. We can reach from the car, which is great since I will have all the animals with me. After that, probably headed off to hang out at the park for a bit or something.

07/17 MyFitnessPal – 1538 Calories, 16 net carbs (14 if you subtract the Erythritol) Also got in my fasting hours in.

Sleep:

12:32 am to 8:31 am. 7 hrs 22 mins. 9 x awake for 37 mins. I got off the computer on time, was just a little later getting to bed, but everything done on time. I did struggle to get comfortable. It was hotter, and I was thinking more about what I am going to have to do Thursday. Still ended up sleeping well enough.

Tomorrow

Busy day with pest treatment. Hopefully, all goes well and I can get to bowling as well. Food might just be all over the place though, or my fasting my be different times. We shall see.

My Journey to a Healthy Me, Day 198

I just got done hanging up a few shelves, and figured it was time to get a blog post in.

Dinner tonight, I had some Zucchini noodles (an entire bag) with some Alfredo sauce. I included some chicken meatballs, and Italian sausage. It turned out really good. The sausage has no carbs, and is really good. I’ve been eating it by itself. I want to get it on some pizza soon. The chicken meatball, I also eat by themselves sometimes. It Aidell’s brand. 1 carb for 3 meatballs isn’t too bad. Plus, they are very quick to heat up. The zucchini noodles were pre-spiraled ones. This was the first time trying them, and it was only 4 net carbs for the whole bag. So, I ate it all. haha. The Alfredo sauce was store bought too. I suppose I can probably make a better version myself. I just need to take some time to find a good recipe. I know there are many out there.

It is nice to be getting some normal routine starting up again. Things are still crazy, but it is getting better.

The Mental Game

I haven’t talked about it much, but the mental game is really important in all this. My stress levels have gone down a lot more since my wife has started working again, and we got the move done. There is still plenty to worry about, but I feel like we have turned that corner. I don’t have to freak out about too much more.

I also haven’t been having any weird mood swings. Sure, some mornings I just want to sit in bed for a couple of hours. I just am not doing it as much.

I feel like mentally, I have been in a pretty decent space. Even with my horrible bowling some days! 😉

I know things can change. August is the month my Mom died in 2010. Most of the time I get in a funk before realizing why I am like this. So I will be trying to stay aware of it, and just work through each day that gets rough.

Yesterday

Food:
07/16 MyFitnessPal – 1905 Calories, 18 net carbs (17 net subtracting the Erythritol) I also got my eating in plenty of time. I had gone shopping yesterday, so I actually started eating much later in the day.

Sleep:
I forgot to wear my fitbit to bed last night, so I didn’t get any sleep tracking. I did however feel like I got a decent sleep last night. It didn’t seem so warm.

Tomorrow

More shelf hanging! We probably also need to start moving our items around for the pest control being done on Thursday. Really not lookign forward to this. I just hope it is fast, so we can get back in soon, and move all the stuff back.

Only down 1.4 lbs this week. Sitting at 299.5 lbs. So I am trending in the correct direction now at least. Hopefully, I can get an increase in weight loss as more things stabilize around here.

Overall pleased with my eating. I think I want to try getting my calories a bit more stable this week. The quest products didn’t seem to hinder me, or at least didn’t stall me to nothing. They are just a pain to track my real net carbs.

Overall, I did ok this week in my sleep area. I didn’t read the first night, and last night I read until 2:30 am. Also, I haven’t had any issues so far with reading from a kindle.With the tiredness I feel this morning, that should be a good reminder as to why I don’t go to sleep at 2:40 am haha.

Move in, and future projects

I made some progress around the house as well this week. I also sent away, and received information for schooling. I also signed up for the NerdFitness Academy this week. Soon I can get some workouts going, which will help me get much healthier.

This week

The busy train keeps on being busy. I have plenty of items on my To-Do list. Plus now we have to move things around on Thursday, so they can do pest spraying. I just have to do what I can. 🙂
